Topeka, KS July 18, 2018–  Brett Oetting, President of Visit Topeka and Executive Vice President of the Greater Topeka Partnership has earned the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME), the only integrated executive program specifically designed for the destination marketing industry. The focus of the program is on vision, leadership, productivity and the implementation of business strategies.

“We’re very proud of the work Brett put into earning this certification,” said Matt Pivarnik, President & CEO of the Greater Topeka Partnership. “We always knew he was an innovative and creative leader and this certification validates that knowledge.”

“Brett is a proven leader and supporter of our community,” said Michelle De La Isla, Mayor of Topeka. “I’m looking forward to seeing what amazing things he will do next, now that he holds the CDME. I know he will continue to bring positive changes to Topeka.”

The CDME program is the only integrated executive program specifically designed for the destination marketing industry and is the tourism industry’s highest individual educational achievement.
