Rhett Flood is the Executive Director of Forge Young Talent, a young professional organization focused on providing young people with the skills and resources needed to succeed in their careers. With several years of experience in talent development, Rhett is a dedicated leader with a passion for empowering the next generation. Under his direction, Forge Young Talent has grown significantly, providing personal and professional development opportunities, mentorship, networking opportunities, concerts, and other events to young professionals across Topeka and Shawnee County.

What's one small change that an individual or family can make to contribute to the local economy's growth?

Support Local businesses especially new businesses.

How does your role contribute to the organization's efforts to improve the local economy?

Forge’s role in economic development at its core is a workforce initiative. Our focus is to attract and retain young talent to Topeka and Shawnee County. We do this by helping young professionals make connections, find friends and their own community, as well as supporting new developments and projects that make Topeka more attractive to a younger workforce.

Rhett graduated from Wichita State University.
