Topeka, KS — The esteemed Greater Topeka Partnership program Leadership Greater Topeka (LGT) is excited to announce that nominations for the class of 2026 will be accepted beginning Friday, August 1. Individuals living and working in Topeka/Shawnee County are invited to nominate local candidates they believe demonstrate exceptional leadership ability. Those driven to make a difference in their community may also nominate themselves. Nominations should be submitted online HERE or by visiting TopekaPartnership.com and finding “Leadership Greater Topeka” under the “Partnership Programs” tab.

“Each year, participants in the Leadership Greater Topeka program are empowered with insight, connections, and confidence to grow in their own leadership development – both in their careers and the community,” said Michelle Cuevas-Stubblefield, Senior Vice President of Strategy for the Greater Topeka Partnership. “We’re heading into the 42nd year of the program, and the growing network of dedicated and engaged leaders continues to inspire me. I can’t wait to see who our community nominates for the 2026 class.”

Nominees who apply and are selected for the next class will participate in a five-month-long leadership program that runs January through mid-May. Programming consists of a two-day retreat and nine day-long sessions. Those sessions cover community initiatives, concerns and opportunities across Topeka and Shawnee County. Participants also learn adaptive and technical leadership skills that will serve them well into the future. A primary goal of LGT is that participants graduate from the program with a greater understanding of the community and a better idea of how to create change and get results through their leadership and involvement.

High-school juniors and above are eligible to be nominated for LGT. Nominations will close on Friday, Sept. 12. For questions about the program or eligibility, please contact Michelle Cuevas Stubblefield at Michelle.Stubblefield@TopekaPartnership.com.
