The esteemed Greater Topeka Partnership program Leadership Greater Topeka (LGT) is excited to announce it is accepting nominations for its class of 2025 starting Thursday, Aug. 1. Individuals living and working in Topeka/Shawnee County are invited to nominate local candidates they believe demonstrate exceptional leadership ability. Those driven to make a difference in their community may also nominate themselves. Nominations should be submitted online HERE or by visiting TopekaPartnership.com and finding “Leadership Greater Topeka” under the “Partnership Programs” tab.

“It’s so encouraging each year to see an amazing group of local leaders dedicate their time and talents to developing themselves, and their community, further through Leadership Greater Topeka,” said Michelle Cuevas-Stubblefield, senior vice president of strategy for The Partnership and LGT director. “Each class is carefully selected and includes a diverse mix of ages, abilities, companies, leadership longevity and more. I know the 2025 class will be no different, and I can’t wait to see who our community nominates for the next cohort of this prestigious program.”

Nominees who apply and are selected for the next class will participate in a five-month-long leadership program that runs January through mid-May. Programming consists of a two-day retreat and eight day-long sessions. Those sessions cover community initiatives, concerns and opportunities across Topeka and Shawnee County. Participants also learn adaptive and technical leadership skills that will serve them well into the future. A primary goal of LGT is that participants graduate from the program with a greater understanding of the community and a better idea of how to create change and get results through their leadership and involvement.

High-school juniors and above are eligible to be nominated for LGT. Nominations will close on Thursday, Sept. 12. For questions about the program or eligibility, please contact Cuevas-Stubblefield at Michelle.Stubblefield@TopekaPartnership.com.
