The Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce is launching its 2024 Promote the Vote campaign. The effort overlaps with major civic holidays the chamber is inaugurally a member of, including National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 17, National Voter Education Week Oct. 7-11, Vote Early Day Oct. 29, and Election Hero Day on Nov. 4.

The chamber’s Promote the Vote efforts will culminate in General Election Day on Nov. 5, with the campaign seeking to encourage voter registration, education and activation. In the weeks ahead, community members will be able to interface with a first-of-its-kind Promote the Vote van, which will tour the city and be visible at large gatherings, shopping centers, in residential neighborhoods, on campuses and more. Key stops will be made across the region to emphasize the importance of voting and to share more about the chamber’s role in the legislative process.

“As we move further into this critical part of the election season, the importance of voting cannot be overstated,” said Topeka Chamber President Juliet Abdel. “We are literally driving home the message that every voice matters. As we tour on wheels, we are committed to empowering our community members with the tools they need to make informed decisions at the polls.”

Be on the lookout for the chamber’s Promote the Vote van made possible by Laird Noller. To track the van and its schedule, follow the Greater Topeka Partnership on Facebook and Instagram. If you spot the van, snap a selfie and tag @GTPartnership on either of those platforms, using the hashtag #VoteSNCO for a chance to win two VIP seats in the stage area to the Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade coming to downtown Topeka this December.
