Forge Young Talent is thrilled to announce the release of new license plates featuring the Topeka flag, that are now available for purchase across the state of Kansas through your local county tag office. The distinctive license plates, adorned with the design of Topeka’s new city flag adopted in 2019, provide an opportunity for residents to showcase their pride in the capital city.
“We are so proud to see this new license plate become available,” said Rhett Flood, Forge executive director. “Forge Young Talent worked hard with community leaders to bring the new city flag to life five years ago. Today, we’re unveiling another way to proudly display that design. This new plate allows people to show their pride in Topeka, while supporting efforts to make Topeka a better community for young professionals.”
In Shawnee County, the new plate can be requested when completing your vehicle registration renewal through the Shawnee County Treasurer’s Office. Proceeds from the sale of the Topeka flag license plates will directly support Forge Young Talent’s initiatives aimed at enhancing talent attraction and improving quality of life for young professionals in the Topeka area.
“Our primary mission at Forge is to create opportunities for young professionals to thrive in Topeka and to cultivate experiences that young adults seek in the cities where they want to work and live,” Flood added. “The revenue from this license plate will help further that mission as we strive to make our city a top destination for young people.”
The new Topeka flag license plates are available for order now. You can learn more about the Topeka flag license plate and how to place your order through the Kansas Department of Revenue’s website or by visiting GOTopeka.com/Topeka-License-Plate.
