Chamber Mission

The purpose of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce is to advance the general welfare, quality of life and prosperity of the Greater Topeka area to benefit the citizens and the community. Emphasis shall be given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interests.

Staff Involvement in our Community

Chamber staff members know that a community is often judged by the people living in the community and their community involvement. The staff of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce gives back as a group and individually!

The staff adopts families during the holidays and the Chamber Ambassadors adopt a nursing home each year. Staff members are involved with their churches, community boards and organizations, and quality of life initiatives.

You’ll find Chamber staff members serving as advisors to Heartland Visioning, the Washburn University Leadership Institute and CASA of Shawnee County; on the nominating committees for the Boy Scouts Jayhawk Area Agency and Community Resources Council; on the boards of Family Service and Guidance Center, Hayden High School Booster Club, Topeka Genealogical Society and Topeka High Historical Society; on committees at churches such as Most Pure Heart of Mary; and on community initiatives and coalitions such as Capital District Project and Safe Streets. Staff members also are editorial contributors for local magazines and other publications, and often can be found fostering animals for the Helping Hands Humane Society.

We pitch in and help, just as thousands of others in our community do every day!
