Forge Young Talent announced the first event in a new leadership series, titled “Emerging Leaders Series.” The first event, “Navigating Trends as a Young Leader,” will feature a panel of local young leaders, as well as an established leader to further the conversation and provide feedback. The panel includes Del-Metrius Herron, Keller Williams, One Legacy Partners, LLC; Cassidy Roberson, Schendel Lawn & Landscapes; Alycia Weakland, U.S. Bank; Matt Pivarnik, Greater Topeka Partnership; and Justin Moore (panel moderator), Royal Valley USD 337. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 5 at Norsemen Brewing Co. at 6 p.m.

“Creating opportunities for young leaders to develop their talents and grow within their community is one of Forge’s core priorities,” said Rhett Flood, executive director of Forge. “This new series will serve as a launching point for young leaders to better prepare themselves to lead and succeed in Topeka & Shawnee County.”

“What’s so powerful about this series is that it will provide a dynamic look at leadership. From emerging leadership to establish leadership, you will receive a impressive cross-section of what it means to lead in Topeka,” said Del-Metrius Herron, realtor at Keller Williams, One Legacy Partners, LLC, and chair of Forge’s leadership team.

“This is where my true passion lies for me, to empowering people to develop into their best version of their selves, challenge the status quo and power the human potential,” said Alycia Weakland, dual branch manager NMLS, community banking, U.S. Bank. “I’m eager to engage in meaningful conversations with other young leaders and meet more of the people behind Forge.”
