This Summer, We’re Taking the Capital Connection to Lincoln, Nebraska!

Join a curated delegation of leaders, professionals, and changemakers from Topeka as we travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to build relationships, learn from our peer capital city, and discover innovative ideas we can bring home.

This year, Lincoln will host us for two incredible days of learning, networking, and immersive city experiences. In turn, Topeka will welcome our Lincoln friends earlier this summer (June 17–18) for their own exchange experience in our capital city.

Purpose of the Visit:

Last summer, Topeka and Lincoln embarked on a joint exchange to Boise, Idaho—building cross-city relationships and discovering innovative ideas together. That trip sparked new conversations, bold ideas, and a deeper connection between our two capital cities.

Now in 2025, it’s time to continue that momentum. By visiting Lincoln, we’re following up on the insights and relationships we began in Boise, diving deeper into the unique strengths of a city we began to know last year. This exchange allows us to stay engaged, strengthen regional collaboration, and build on the initiatives we started together.

Whether it’s innovation, tourism, entrepreneurship, or community development—this trip helps us move from ideas to action.

“We’re excited to continue this unique partnership with the Lincoln team as we take the next step in our intercity exchange. After traveling together to Boise last year, we discovered just how powerful regional collaboration can be. Now, we have the opportunity to reconnect and go deeper—this time by experiencing Lincoln’s own momentum up close. This visit represents more than just a trip; it’s a commitment to shared growth, mutual learning, and strong relationships that benefit both of our communities. Together, Topeka and Lincoln are shaping a brighter future for our region.”

“The intercity visit to Boise is an extraordinary chance for our cities to unite, expand our horizons, and harness the collective power of shared knowledge. We’re eager to make this trip with our partners in Topeka and know there will be no shortage of synergistic moments. By seeking new opportunities and embracing innovative ideas, we can elevate our cities to new heights, unlocking potential that will benefit our citizens and businesses alike for years to come.”
